Every year I go through a down period. I don’t really leave my house and I tend to just watch movies.
So many movies.
I love that they are right at my fingertips but it makes me sad that I only spend a few months of the year watching them.
Most recently, I watched the Wolf of Wall Street and that was a pretty good movie.
It has quite a bit of drug use and gets into some pretty heavy subjects. There’s a bit of nudity and shouting but it was a good movie to watch in bed as the nights are getting colder in the country. Tea. Blankets. Laptop. Bliss.
Margot Robbie is a great Australian actress and she plays her role so well. I ended up watching some of her interviews about the role and … just watch.
anyway… movies…
Do you find that you go through periods of movie binging? Or TV binging? I think most people would.
It’s probably why Netflix release shows like Wednesday in season blocks. It brings in a bunch on engagement on the platform that looks good on paper. Does that lead to good quality shows being released? Unfortunately, No.
I don’t enjoy scrolling through random page after random page looking for something to watch. I’m hesitant to start watching something only to find out it’s really terrible. By then it is too late to start another movie but too early for bed. I try and keep track of everything – but it doesn’t always work out. I forget things.
I know – there’s probably an easy solution that I’m missing. Tell me in the comments.
Till next time.
